One day, an atheist scientist friend of Newton visited Newton's house. There was a sophisticated model of the sun, planets, Earth, and the moon. The model had the moon orbiting, the Earth rotating on its axis, and further orbiting around the sun.
The friend said to Newton, "Hey Newton, this is a splendid model of the universe. Who made this wonderful thing?". Newton replied, "No one". The friend argued, "Stop joking, are you saying that such a magnificent thing was made by itself? That's impossible, someone must have made it."
Newton responded, "How odd you are. You argue all the time that the universe, which is much more intricate and vast than this model, was made by chance without any creator. Yet, you say it's impossible for this much simpler and smaller model to occur by chance. How do you explain this contradiction?"
Thus, Newton made his atheist friend recognize the existence of God. He logically concluded that just as there is a creator for a model of the universe, there must be a God who created the actual universe.
